Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji School Shogyoji Temple used high-strength, high-corrosion-resistant design louvers that take advantage of the properties of duplex stainless steel (NSSC 2120_®️) for the exterior portion of the building’s barn building.
The louvers are 4.0 mm thick and have a very stylish appearance. The louvers are made of duplex stainless steel, which is approximately twice as strong as Type 304 stainless steel.
The surface finish is “Umeeda”, which gives the louver a Japanese impression despite its metallic appearance.
The construction also has a beautiful form with a natural expression by arranging the divided parts unevenly.
The signboard portion is made of TranTixxii® titanium, a material that has transcended the passage of time.
